Your child is precious to us and will receive individual attention while in our care. We set an example for your child by sharing God’s love and joy in our words, actions, and expressions. A simple curriculum is taught each week and we consider it a privilege to participate in forming your child’s earliest impressions of our wonderful God.

CARING FOR YOUR BABY

The nursery consists of two rooms:

Baby room - for infants and crawlers

Toddler room - for babies who are walking

Every room in the nursery is staffed with a minimum of two unrelated volunteers. Our baby room maintains a ratio of one adult for every three infants and crawlers. Our toddler room maintains a ratio of one adult for every four toddlers.

Our Nursery classrooms are located on the main floor close to the Worship Center for your convenience.  When dropping off your child, please go to the Kidz Check-In lobby on the south side of the building and receive your child’s nametag and security tag.  Green Team security team members will direct you to your child’s classroom in the Nursery Suite.

Once inside the Nursery, you will be welcomed by a Room Greeter. Please give any special instructions concerning your child to the Room Greeter and inform them of any particular needs your child may have.

We request that parents keep feedings simple and feeding times flexible. A bottle to comfort a fussy baby is appropriate, but a meal of solid food is best handled by parents.

Nursery snacks consist of Cheerios or Gerber Puff snacks. If your child has a food allergy, please alert us of this when you bring your child to the appropriate Nursery room.

WHAT TO BRING

Please make sure that the following items are in your child’s diaper bag and labeled with your child’s name:

• One diaper
•  A clean change of clothing
•  Anything that will help to comfort your child while he or she is in our care

For your child’s health and safety, we require that bottles, cups, and pacifiers be labeled with your child’s name. There are diaper bag I.D. tags available at the check-in counter.

NURSERY PROMOTIONS

Upon turning two years of age, children are promoted to the Early Childhood Department in a class designed for two-year-olds.
