WELCOME TO EARLY CHILDHOOD!

We love to see eyes brighten as 2, 3, 4 and 5-year-olds enjoy the wonder of God’s love and the beauty of creation that surrounds them. Using a hands-on approach to learning, we unfold Bible stories and truths to the children. We will help them understand His love and encourage them to try to show that love to those around them.

RECEIVING YOUR CHILD

Our Early Childhood classrooms are located on the main floor in our children’s ministry wing.  When dropping off your child, please go to the Kidz Check-In lobby on the south side of the building and receive your child’s nametag and security tag.  Children’s classrooms are designated by color – Yellow for 2 year olds, Orange for 3 year olds, Blue for 4 year olds and Purple for 5 year olds.  Upon checking in your child, enter the children’s secured area and proceed to their appropriate classroom.   A Green Team security member will welcome you outside of your child’s class and receive their attendance tag.

WELCOME TO OUR CLASSROOM

Children will receive individual attention as we care for their needs. We will share God’s love and joy in our words and actions.

A typical service hour consists of:

• Song time to worship our great God
  
• A Bible Story which contains a simple Bible truth
  
• Activities to reinforce the Bible truth of the day that may include:
  
  Crafts * Games * Dramatic play *
  Nature activities * Building with blocks

WHAT TO BRING

If your child is in the process of potty training, please bring a bag with:

• A diaper or Pull-Up (if needed)
• A clean change of clothing, including socks
• Your child may bring in a sippy cup or pacifier if needed, however, we request that you avoid bringing in personal toys.

Please make sure that everything your child brings into the classroom is clearly labeled with his or her name.

SNACKS

The children are given a snack each week. There are 2 different types of snacks that are served in our classrooms:

Goldfish crackers * Pretzels

If your child has a food allergy, please let the security volunteer at the counter know when checking in your child.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROMOTIONS

Your child will move up to the classroom for the next age level within the month after that birthday. Five-year-old children entering Kindergarten will be promoted to the Elementary classrooms in the fall. This happens the first week in September.
