COMMUNION MINISTRY

 

The Communion Ministry consists of communion preparers and communion servers.  Preparers fill the communion trays with bread and grape juice and then distribute the trays to the communion stations in the Worship Center. (Serves before and/or after one service every 5-6 weeks.)  Servers are an integral part of the worship service, as they distribute communion to attendees in the Worship Center.  (Serves at one service for an entire month, once every 2-3 months.)

FIRST IMPRESSIONS MINISTRY

 

SHUTTLE DRIVERS:  These servants are safe, courteous people who drive the shuttle bus along a designated route transporting guests and volunteers from the far east parking lot. (Serves 1-2 hours before, during, or after the Sunday services.  Requires a valid driver's license.)

 

PARKING ATTENDANTS: Parking Attendants direct traffic in and around the Parkview campus, ensuring the safety of pedestrians and lending assistance where needed.  (Serves before and after each service approximately one weekend per month.)

 

USHERS:  This opportunity is for friendly, organized people with hearts of service and love for people.  Ushers help guests find seats in the Worship Center smoothly and efficiently.  (Serves for one service per month.)

 

TAPE MINISTRY: The Tape Ministry needs servants to staff the Sermon Resources Booth on the weekend, selling CDs from current and past sermons, and also needs technical volunteers to work in the tech room making duplicate copies of the weekend sermon.

FUNERAL MINISTRY

 

The Funeral Ministry handles all preparation and hospitality details related to Parkview wakes and funerals.  Servants in this ministry are compassionate people with the gift of hospitality.

KIDZ CONNECTION

 

There are a variety of serving opportunities available in Children's Ministries, for children from birth through 5th grade, including:

  • Nursery Team Member
  • Early Childhood Team Member
  • Elementary Large Group Leader
  • Small Group Leader (Any Grade K-5th)
  • Green Team Member (Security Greeter)
  • Special Events Team Member

KITCHEN MINISTRY

 

Each week, various ministries use the kitchen for cooking and serving food for several events, and the church staff uses the kitchen during their workday...so there are many opportunities for volunteers to pitch in and help keep the kitchen organized, clean, and stocked.

LIBRARY MINISTRY

 

The Library is a good source of Christian media, with over 2,000 selections in stock. The Library's inventory includes resources for both children and adults, including books, CDs, and DVDs. Books can be checked out for two weeks, and audio-visual materials are checked out for one week.  Volunteers are needed to staff the desk and stock the shelves!

MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS

 

Moppets volunteers are needed to nurture and supervise a small group of children (birth through Kindergarten) during the bi-monthly MOPS meetings (both morning and evening opportunities are available.)

OFFICE SUPPORT

 

Our staff is always in need of servants to assist with many tasks around the office, including typing, answering the phones, filing, mailings, photocopying, bulletin inserts, and more. Time commitment varies according to availability.

STUDENT MINISTRIES

 

There are a variety of opportunties available for this ministry that serves Jr. High and High School Students, including:

  • Sunday Morning Volunteer ~ 9 AM  (Jr. High Breakfast Club)
  • Sunday Morning Volunteer ~ 11 AM  (High School Worship)
  • High School Relevant Small Group Leader
  • Jr. High Energy Small Group Leader

VISITATION MINISTRY

 

The Visitation Ministry is a group of people who help to lift the spirits of those who are in the hospital or shut-in. The Visitation Ministry visits, talks, prays, and provides caring that is good for the soul.

WORSHIP / TECH MINISTRY

 

There are many serving opportunties available with Parkview's Worship Ministry, including:

  • Visual Arts/Set Design
  • Drama Ministry
  • Stage Managers
  • Camera Operators
  • Lighting Operators
  • Multimedia/Computer Operators
  • Sound Technicians
  • Meal Team (for worship team members)

Onsite training is provided for all positions.  A background check is required for those 18 and older.  Volunteers serve approximately once per month.
