Dear Family, It’s really hard to believe that two years have passed since the beginning of The Great Investment. So many things have happened around us...from a history-making presidential election and another indicted Illinois Governor, to a global economy that is faltering to a degree that is almost unprecedented.
In these trying times, what I believe people are understanding, in ways they never have before, is their need for a Savior. That when nothing in their lives makes sense, there is Jesus. And in Him, there is hope. Because there are people all around us who still need to find that hope, there is The Great Investment. It has never been more clear that the investments we lay up here on earth don’t last. But it’s beautiful to know that the investment we make in people’s lives will last forever.
As you will see when you check out this site, much has been accomplished through God’s provision and your generosity. At our Orland Park Campus, we’ve added critical parking, the staff has moved upstairs to make room for the children, Children’s and Student Ministries have brand new space in which to grow, and lives are being changed at our Lockport Campus. It’s been amazing to watch God work through those who are willing to step out in faith.
But we still have much to do. If you are not yet involved, there is still a part for you to play in The Great Investment, whether large or small. Because there is still a harvest ahead. He told us so. “The fields are already ripe for harvest...and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life.” John 4:35-36
